  1. GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE ERA

Relations Between Superpowers

Trade routes are the most prominent type of interaction between the superpowers of the area. It is known that the empires in the area have made temporary alliances with each other against a specific empire depending on the era. Sometimes it was against the Sassanids, sometimes Byzantine, sometimes against the Chinese, and sometimes against the Turkic tribes. Yet, although these nations fought with each other from time to time, the trading mostly continued for materials that were not existent in their states even in the warfare. The danger in trade routes was as important as a reason to start a conflict since it caused the welfare of the people in the state.
