Kitan Head - Miha Ilgai Han:

Miha Ilgai Han is viewed as a trustworthy and decisive ruler by the Mongols, he has the permanent support of his people. Thus he does not have the concerns of whether his people will rebel against his decisions or not. The reason the Mongols have such ultimate respect and trust in the Kitan Head is because of past marauding when Miha Ilgai was a teenager and defended the whole village against the marauders. The kurultay gives Miha Ilgai Han authority over the Mongolian parts of the trade routes because it is almost accepted that no matter the consequences, he would not risk his people’s well-being in return for anything.
